Oh,Kent, how will we get along without you in this world. When you came from Jefferson to join the class of 56 you were loved by all of us. With your great personality and sense of humour there was never a dull moment when you were around. You had such courage to ride with me in my Thunderbird knowing full well I couldn't see beyond the end of my nose. We had such fun during those years. Sleep well my forever friend, You fought a good fight.

Kent's passing leaves a great void to us in the Jefferson area who enjoyed his wit and dedication. He always had a cheery wave and a warm hello whenever we happened to meet.

To Ann & all the Hicks family, Kent was a great friend and shipmate. While stationed on the USS Fulton (AR 5) in Norfolk, VA he took me on a hunting trip to Camp A.P. Hill in Virginia. I was lucky enough to see and get off a shot at a deer. Having missed it he remarked that this gun of his was to be emptyed if fired. That is why I missed. He will be greatly missed. I know he has been welcomed by the Supreme Commander.
