In Loving Memory
William Bevin Cunningham
5/3/1939 - 4/8/2010

Groveton – Bevin Cunningham, 70, of Lost Nation Road, died on April 8, 2010, in Indianapolis, Indiana with family at his side.

Bevin was born in Lemington, VT on May 3, 1939, the son of Willie and Florence Cunningham.  He was raised in Lemington and attended schools in Colebrook.  He served honorably with the U.S. Army in Korea.

Bevin had a lifelong passion for construction equipment and truck driving. He was a well-known truck driver in the Groveton area for many years.  His greatest joys were being at camp in Lemington with family and friends. He enjoyed four wheeling, hunting, fishing and especially teaching his grand kids to be outdoorsmen. If Bevin was not home or working, all of his friends knew to drive to Sims Hill in Lemington, where he would be found on a four wheeler loaded with fishing poles and grand children, or getting the camp warmed up for the weekend hunting crew. The dirt roads and trails of Northern Vermont and New Hampshire will be lonelier from now on.

He leaves his wife of 51 years, Jane Cunningham, children, Shawn Cunningham, Julie Graham and husband Wayne, Holly Ramsay and Larry Coulter, grandchildren, Alicia, Ethan, Keith, Adam, Kyle, Ryan, Hunter and Katlyn, great grand children, Damean, Brooklyn and Heath, brother, Fred Cunningham and wife Dencie, brother, Kenny MacLeod, sister, Barbara Goodwin and numerous nieces and nephews.

Bevin is predeceased by his parents, Willie and Florence Cunningham, brother, Ronald Cunningham, sister, Kay Kirk and son in law, Harold “Butch” Ramsay.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday morning, April 17th at 11:00AM, at St. Francis Xavier Church in Groveton. Father Daniel Deveau, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Northumberland Cemetery. Following services there will be a luncheon at the St. Francis Hall.

In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bevin Cunningham Organ Donation Education Fund, Passumpsic Bank, Main Street, Lancaster, NH 03584

To Jane, Shawn, Holly and Julie, I am very sorry to hear about the news about Bevin. Even though we moved away in 1981, I always thought of you all and tried to visit as often as possible when I was up north visiting my grandfather. I will always remember Bevin, the time my dad and I would go up to hunting camp on Sims Hill, and the late nights when my parents were there visiting, those memories have always been very vivid in my mind. My condolenses go out to all of you. Aric Graham
