Dear Judy, Donnie & Nathan, The best memories I have of my childhood circle around your family. Every story I tell has you in it somewhere, and Sally was a character that was truly larger than life. She was a mentor to so many of us in the neighborhood, town and Advent Christian Church. Sally not only fed us but let us eat on TV trays while Gilligan's Island was on [I was Ginger}. She entertained us with her piano playing and board games. We had to cheat at Scrabble to beat her! Best of all - she was an ear that would listen to whatever we had to say. She did not disregard children's words the way other adults do. She really listened. Sally watched our siblings and children with the kind of loving care that money cannot buy. I will always be indebted to her for the way she cared for my Gregory, and the stories she would tell me about his antics at the end of the day. She left out nothing because she knew I needed that as a working mother. More than any other quality, I loved her spontaneous wit and sharp logic. She never took herself too seriously and always made me laugh and yet, if I had a problem I was always confident that she had, if not a solution, a step toward that solution. With all of my heart - I pray that this life is remembered and those memories held as dearly as I hold my memories of Sally Huntoon. With love and prayers, Rebecca
