Ramona N. Baird
10/25/1930 - 6/4/2010





Ramona N. (Noyes) Baird, 79, of Manchester, died on June 4, 2010, at Hanover Hill Health Care Center in, Manchester.


 


She was born in Northumberland on October 25, 1930, the daughter of Harry F. and Flossie L. (Pilbro) Noyes.  She had lived most of her life in Lancaster and recently moved to Manchester. She graduated in 1948 from Lancaster Academy and on January 3, 1953 married Raymond W. “Sam” Baird, Jr. who predeceased her.  She enjoyed crocheting and knitting, and loved music.  She was a very talented piano player and loved a good musical.  She worked for a number of years at the Lancaster Diner, Marshall’s Insurance and Weeks Medical Center.


 


In Her Life: Family members include three daughters, Julie Towle and her husband Tim of Orlando, FL, Roberta (Bobbie) Jordan and her husband Mark of Auburn, and Melody Baird of Meredith; a special niece, Beverly Pelletier, seven grandchildren, Timothy Towle II, Teresa Towle Sturges, Amy Towle Burk, Jeremy Burke, Chris Burke, Tyler Jordan and Rilee Jordan; eight great grandchildren, and nephews, nieces and cousins.  She was predeceased by, a daughter, Linda Chase in December 2009.  In her later life, she formed a special bond with Charlotte (Penney) Calacci of Charlotte, VT.


 


Memorial calling hours will be held Saturday June 19th from 12 to 2 PM at Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. Burial will follow in Colebrook Village Cemetery, Colebrook.
