Ellen King Fuller Dorr

Whitefield, NH- Ellen King Fuller Dorr, 101, passed away on Wednesday July 10, 2013 at her home with her daughters by her side. She was born in Lunenburg, VT on November 3, 1911 a daughter to the late Willard Graves and Ada Isabel (Adams) King.
She moved to Whitefield, NH at the age of 10 where she graduated from Whitefield High School and then from Nasson College.
Mrs. Dorr was employed as a receptionist at Huggins Hospital in Wolfeboro, NH until her retirement. She was very active in the Wolfeboro community belonging to local, state and national orders; the Eastern Star Warren Chapter where she was Past Worthy Matron, she is an 80 years member of the Grange, a Past Master of the Mt. Washington Grange and a current member of the Shelburne Grange, Wolfeboro Congregational Church, The Women's Club where she was past president, Red Cross, A Demolay Mother, sat on the Advisory Board for Rainbow and served on the State Home Economic Committee. Locally Mrs. Dorr belonged to the DAR-White Mountain Chapter, SOS in Whitefield and the Whitefield H.S. Alumni Association. She also enjoyed reading, stamp collecting, needle work and was the recipient of the Boston Post Cane.
She was pre deceased by her parents, her two husbands Murray L. Fuller and Cleophus Dorr, a son Willard Fuller, two step sons Roland and James Dorr and two step daughters Thelma Heckman and Elizabeth Crepeau. She is survived by her two daughters Frances Whiting and Dorothy Leonard; two step daughters Dorothy Dorr and Delphine Clough, seven grandchildren, 13 step grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
A funeral will be held on Friday July 26 at 11 Am at the Community Baptist Church in Whitefield with the Rev. John Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Park Street Cemetery.
