John E Ford Sr., 78, of Whitefield, NH, passed away on December 10th 2022.
John was born on October 3, 1944, in Methuen, MA, the son of John and Mary (Lawlor) Ford. He was raised in Methuen and attended Methuen High School. After high school, John joined the United States Navy where he served his country proudly. He was honorably discharged in 1965, at which time he returned to Massachusetts, working for several manufacturing companies with his final employment being at Raytheon Technologies. In 2006, John made the move north, to Whitefield NH, to be closer to his son.
John enjoyed family dinner nights at his son’s home, time at the beach and a daily trip to town to grab a coffee. He also enjoyed watching old movies and the history channel. He had a passion for Rhythm and Blues music and enthusiastically played the harmonica.
Surviving family members include his son, Dr. John Ford and wife Aaryn Ford of Lancaster, NH; two grandsons, Joseph Ford (Lauren Davis) of Pepperell, MA and Joshua Ford of Lancaster, NH; and three granddaughters, Makenzie Treamer, Jayden Treamer and Isabella Ford all of Lancaster, NH. John was predeceased in life by an infant son, Joseph.
There will be no calling hours. The family will have a private celebration of life at a later time.
