LUNENBURG, VT - Kenneth Sayles, 68, of Wentworth Rd died Wednesday December 26, 2018 at Weeks Medical Center Lancaster NH after a recent illness.
Kenneth was born in Providence, RI on March 24th, 1950 to James F Sayles and Marion M (Arnold) Sayles. He grew up in Johnston, RI where he attended school.
His love of the outdoors and animals sent him to Vermont where he then made his home and met his longtime companion Ellen Sargent. They were together for 34 years until she predeceased him in 2010.
Surviving family includes a brother, Harry Sayles and his wife Christine, of Chepachet, RI, a sister Brenda Sayles Salera of Stuart, FL, nieces and several cousins.
The family wishes to thank the home health aides who cared for him extensively and compassion, the hospital and nursing home, and Flora Sigouin , Kens sister-in-law, for all the help and care she so willingly gave.
A graveside service will be held in the spring in Riverside Cemetery, Lunenburg. A service announcement will be published at that time.
