Marietta Ingerson

JEFFERSON - Mariette Ingerson, 87, formerly of Boismont Drive, died Wednesday afternoon, July 3, 2019 at the Morrison in Whitefield, where she has resided for several years.

Mrs. Ingerson was born in Morris Plains, NJ, on February 17, 1932, the daughter of Charles E. and Dorothy (Willey) Enman.

She attended schools in Morris Plains and Morristown, NJ, moving to Jefferson in 1944. For 49 years Marietta and her husband Elliot were the caretakers of the Carter Estate in Jefferson. She was an active member of the Jefferson Christian Church.

She is survived by her children, Rodney E. Ingerson (Pat) of Jefferson, Lynn I. Smith (Michael) of Salem, VA, Dona I. Sanborn (Wes) of Gorham: Nancy Skillin (Wayne) of Whitefield: two sisters, Elaine Kenison of Mount Dora, Florida, Barbara Connel, of Sandy, Utah; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Elliot Winthrop Ingerson; a daughter, Wanda J. Sloan; a grandson, Jason Stone; two sisters Ruth Walker and Eleanor Cloyd; and five brothers, Robert, Donald, Charlie, Lawrence, Bruce.

A graveside service will be held 1pm, Wednesday, July 17, 2019 at Forest Vale Cemetery in Jefferson. Reverend Dean A. Stiles, pastor of the Jefferson Christian Church, will officiate.
