LANCASTER - Glenfield LaRoche, 61, of Second Street, died suddenly at his home Thursday March 13, 2008.
Mr. LaRoche was born in Keene, NH, on September 26, 1946, the son of Edward and Shirley (Perry) LaRoche.
Raised in Keene Glen was a graduate of Keene High School. He served in Vietnam with the US Marine Corp and later attended Keene State College and Plymouth State College and acquired a degree as a master electrician. For a time he lived and worked in Texas later returning to New Hampshire where he started his own company, Dalton Electric. He enjoyed fishing and swimming and was known as a workaholic and a perfectionist.
Family members include two sons, Alex LaRoche of Dalton, presently stationed in Iraq, Matt LaRoche of Dalton and Lyndon State College; two daughters, Glenna Bell of Grenbury, Texas, Shirley Reagon of Grand Prairie, Texas; his mother Shirley S. LaRoche of Keene; a brother Timothy LaRoche Sr. of Gilsum; a sister Linda Sbeiral of Willington, Texas; and five grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his father Edward LaRoche and a brother Charles LaRoche.
A visiting hour will be held Saturday morning March 22, from 10:00 to 11:00 at the Lancaster Congregational United Church of Christ. A funeral service will immediately after at 11:00. Rev. Virginia Alvarez, pastor, will officiate. Burial with military honors will be held at a later date in the Surry Village Cemetery, Surry, NH.
