LANCASTER - Adelene Gordon, 84, formerly of Williams Street, died January 27, 2008, at Country Village Genesis Eldercare, Lancaster.
Mrs. Gordon was born in Canaan, Vermont, on September 1, 1923, the daughter of William Murphy and Rose Taylor.
Adelene was raised in the Colebrook area where she attended schools. She later took a job as housekeeper for the Gordon family of Lancaster. There she met and married her late husband Frank Gordon. They resided in Whitefield for a time and later returned to Lancaster. She enjoyed reading and walking.
Family members include a daughter Mildred Gordon of Lancaster; two sisters, Elsie Dobson and Pauline Elliott both of Lancaster; nieces and nephews.
There are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster. An announcement will be published at the time.
