WHITEFIELD - Alan D. McIntyre, 83, died March 28, 2022 at Morrison Nursing Home in Whitefield, NH.
Born in Whitefield, October 4, 1938, he was the son of C. Douglas McIntyre and Agnes (Madden). He attended Whitefield High School and was a member of the class of 1957. After high school he served three years in the US Air Force.
He worked for many years at Courier Printing Co. and then Sherwin-Dodge Printers, both of Littleton, NH. After retiring he worked part-time for the US Postal Service and clerking at the Whitefield Liquor Store. He was a life member of the Littleton Lodge of Elks, Trinity United Methodist Church of Whitefield, White Mt. Spinners, and the AMC 4,000-Footer Club.
His interests included helping with his sheep flock, spinning wool, hiking, and working around his home.
He is predeceased by his long-time partner Creston Ruiter and his sister Patty. He is survived by his nephew Jeffrey Simonds of Alabama and several cousins. At his request there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 4th at 2:00 PM in the Park Street Cemetery, Whitefield. Reverend Arthur Savage, pastor of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Whitefield, will officiate.
