SUN CITY CENTER, FL - Albert Medric "Spider" Clark, 90, died May 9, 2012, at Palm Gardens in Sun City Center.
Mr. Clark was born in Woodstock, NH, on September 8, 1921, the son of Albert M. Clark Sr. and Annie (Couture) Clark.
He was a longtime resident of Lancaster where he attended schools and was active in sports. During World War II he served with the US Army.
At one time he cooked at the Lancaster Diner and there he met his late wife Lillian (Blodgett) Clark. For several years he worked at the Lancaster Fruit Store and later the NH State Liquor Store in Lancaster and eventually became manager until he retired.
Spider enjoyed fishing, cooking and bowling. He was a wonderful cook who was well known for his chicken pie suppers at the United Methodist Church in Lancaster where he was a long time member. He and Lillian were married there on September 25, 1954. They were married for 57 years.
After he retired he spent the winters in Florida at their home. He returned to Roger's Campground every summer. Lillian predeceased him in 2010.
He was a former member of Kiwanis and the Veteran's of Foreign Wars.
Family members include a daughter Linda Collins and her husband Donald of Groveton; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at a later date.
