LANCASTER, NH- Albert I. Reynolds, 93, died August 28, 2010, at the Morrison Nursing Home, Whitefield.

Mr. Reynolds was born November 19, 1916 in West Lebanon, NH to George W. and Edna G. (Gunnison) Reynolds.

Albert grew up in Burlington, VT graduating from Burlington High School. He went to work for NE Telephone and Telegraph Co. in 1935 and retired from the same telephone Co. in 1978. He was very proud to be the first person in the State of Vermont to pass the PBX exam. For a brief time in 1945 he serviced with the US Army.

He belonged to the Washington Lodge F and AM #3 receiving his 70 year pin in 2008. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite, Temple Chapter No. 75, OES and the Telephone Pioneers of America. He served the town of So Burlington as a member of the Board of Civil Authority for 30 years and the Zoning Board of Adjustment for 19 years.

In 1940 he married Ruth E. Bishop. They celebrated their 70

th

wedding anniversary together at The Morrison on August 12, 2010.

Family members include his wife Ruth of Whitefield, their daughter Nancy Page and her husband Philip of Lancaster, grandchildren Lauralee Boivin and husband Michael of Littleton, NH, Suzanne Pyszka and her husband Andrew of Goffstown, NH, Sarah Hirji and her husband Aly of Melbourne, FL, Scott Page and wife Suzanne of Alstead, NH. Eight great-grandchildren, Kate and Tom Boivin, Mike Pyszka, Ashlee and Shayla Hirji, Nicole, Erica and Kevin Page. Albert is also survived by, his sister Evelyn Boileau of Baltimore, MD. Siblings George Reynolds, Elmer Reynolds and Edna Perras predeceased him.

A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon, September 11

, at 2:00 PM, at the Christ United Methodist Church of Lancaster. Rev. Ron Bruce, pastor will officiate. Albert and Ruth wished to be interred at the same time. A private burial will take place at the appropriate time in Shelburne Village Cemetery, Shelburne, VT.
