Lancaster- Algenia "Jean" B. Merrow, 84, passed away on Wednesday May 1, 2013 at Country Village Genesis Eldercare Center in Lanacster. She was born on October 28, 1928 the only child of Allen and Edder (Collins) Mailman.
Jean was a lifelong Lancaster resident graduating from Lancaster Academy. She worked at Hoovey's Market and for the Red and White Market. For 20 years Jean worked as a clerk for the NH Liqueur Store retiring in 2000. For a time she was the Treasurer for the VFW Auxiliary where she was a member for over 50 years and the United Methodist Women. Jean enjoyed knitting and crocheting.
Jean is survived by many cousins and her dear friends Charlie and Mi Hwa Bell.
There will be a graveside service on Monday May 6 at 11:30 AM in the Summer Street Cemetery with Reverend Ron Bruce officiating.
