GUILDHALL - Allison W. Rogers, 77, of North Road, died Tuesday morning July 16, 2013 at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster.

Allison was born in Lancaster, NH to Woodbury C. and Nellie (Miller) Rogers on June 1, 1936. As a child he grew up in Lancaster and Jefferson, NH, Kennebunkport and Cape Elizabeth Maine. Allison was a 1955 graduate of Berlin High School. His first love was trucks - especially "Mack" trucks. Allison worked in the construction field for several years operating equipment especially trucks for Caledonia Sand and Gravel, St. Johnsbury, VT. In 1970 he gave up driving and turned to selling trucks for White Mountain Mack in Lancaster, NH. Allison also sold for Currier Trucking in Gorham, NH and Grappone Trucks Concord, NH returning to driving in the 1990's, Allison purchased a used Ford truck becoming self-employed as A.W. Rogers Trucking., Inc. He had the new Mack truck fever and purchased a green Mack Tri-Axle dump truck in 2000 - his life time dream coming true! In 2009 he retired and sold his dream truck locally so that he still see it rolling over the roads.

Allison was a member of the Lancaster Snodrifters and is a current member of the Conn Valley Sno Riders Inc. serve 8 years as Club President. He served on the Guildhall Select board, served as Guildhall Road Commissioner, 40 years on the Guildhall Zoning Board, Planning Board and as a Guildhall Constable. Allison served as a Guildhall Community Church Trustee for several years.

He was a member of the Benton Masonic Lodge in Guildhall and a Shriner at the Mt Sinai Temple. Allison was also a former member and Past President of the Lancaster Kiwanis Club.

On January 28, 1966 Allison married Patricia Holcomb in Montpelier, VT, who survives him as well as their son, Thomas M. Rogers Sr. and his wife Dawn (Cruz) Rogers and his grandchildren, Thomas M. Rogers, Jr. and Emma-Mae D. Rogers all of Guildhall, VT. Allison is survived by several cousins on both the Rogers side of the family and the Miller side of the family.

Visiting hours will be held Friday evening, July 19 from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A Masonic service will be held at 7:00 PM that evening. A funeral service will be held Saturday morning at 10:00 AM at the Guildhall Community Church. Reverend Gerry Piper, pastor of the United Methodist Church, Springfield, VT will officiate. Burial will follow in Ridgwell Cemetery, Guildhall.
