Aloysius Eastman

LANCASTER, NH- Aloysius Eastman, 91, passed away Monday morning, November 1, 2010, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster.

Mr. Eastman was born in Jefferson, NH on June 3, 1919, a son of Richard And Alice (Henry) Eastman.

Aloysius served 22 years in the US Air Force and was a decorated veteran of WWII and the Korean Conflict serving in Japan, India, Korea and Hawaii as well as many stateside postings. After retiring from the military he worked for 20 years at Stinehour Press. He loved the Cub Scouts and was a Cub Master for 20 years and was a recipient of the Silver Beaver.

He was also an avid gardener and master firewood stacker.

He was an active member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Lancaster for many years.

Family members include a daughter Tracy Lang and her husband Elmer of Milan, two sons, Richard Eastman and his wife Sharon of W. Palm Beach, FL and Craig Eastman of Lancaster, four grand children Nicole and Nathan Eastman, David Lang and his wife Cindy of Milan and Douglas Lang also of Milan, four great grandchildren Jacob, Cassidy, Garret and Kyleigh. He was predeceased by his wife Verne (Hartford) Eastman, one brother and two sisters.

Memorial calling hours will be held Wednesday evening November 3, from 6-8 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A memorial service will be held Thursday morning at 11:00 AM, at the Christ United Methodist Church. Rev. Ron Bruce, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in the Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster.
