LANCASTER- Anne Louise Goad, 85, of Main Street, died Thursday afternoon, June 14, 2007, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster.
Mrs. Goad was born in Lyndon, Vermont on October 17, 1921, the daughter of Charles and Ruth (Foster) Bristol.
Anne was raised in Littleton and later married Clayton James Goad, for a time they resided in Whitefield and later Northumberland before moving to Springfield, MA where they lived for 25 years. In 1981 she returned to Northumberland after her husband's retirement and six years later moved to her present residence at the McKee Inn in Lancaster.
She was an avid baseball fan and collected Native American artwork and artifacts.
Family members include a son Stephen Clayton Goad of Ware, MA; three daughters, Sandra Lee Shannon of Guildhall, Donna Louise Duplisea of Chicopee, MA and Althea Sarnacki of Whitefield; many grand and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by, her husband Clayton in 1992 and her sister Dorothy McBrine.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday afternoon, June 17, from 2-5 PM, at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. The funeral will be Monday morning at 10:00 AM at the Guildhall Community Church, Guildhall. Reverend Gerry Piper of Orleans, VT will officiate. Burial will follow in the Northumberland Cemetery.
