Arlene M. Cloutier

February 16, 1929 — November 23, 2009

LANCASTER- Arlene M. Cloutier, formerly of Groveton died Monday morning, November 23, 2009, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster surrounded by her loving family.

Mrs. Cloutier was born in Lancaster on February 16, 1929 a daughter of Laurence and Rena (Pierce) Smith.

Arlene was raised in Lancaster and was a graduate of Lancaster Academy. After graduation she moved to Groveton and was a resident for many years. She returned to Lancaster where she has resided for the past few years. She worked for Diamond International Paper Co. retiring in 1991.

She enjoyed driving around in her car looking for wildlife, going out to eat, bingo, crocheting and was a big fan of NASCAR Racing enjoying a trip to a race in Loudon, NH. Her favorite driver was Kenny Schrader. Spending time with family was her greatest enjoyment.

Family members include three nieces, Cynthia Ledger of Groveton, Linda Maguire and her companion Daniel Roy of Alton and Sandra MacKillop and her companion Stanley Skinner of Whitefield, her nephew David Currier and his wife Janice of Lancaster and several great nieces and nephews; several great-great nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins. She loved all of them as if they were her own children. Her husband Rosario and her 3 sisters Marion Smith, Doreen Smith and Lorraine Currier predeceased her.

Visiting hours will be held Friday November 27 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday morning at 10:00 AM at All Saints Church in Lancaster. Father Raymond Ball, pastor will officiate. Burial will be held on Friday December 4 at 11:00 AM in Calvary Cemetery.
