Auretta L. "Midge" Simonds

LANCASTER- Auretta L. "Midge" Simonds, 92, formally of McKee Inn, died Sunday March 26, 2006, at the Merriman House, North Conway.
Mrs. Simonds was born in Jefferson, NH, on March 23, 1914, the daughter of Abel Largey and Lydia (Virge) Lombard.
Midge was resident at the McKee Inn for 15 years, prior to moving to the Merriman House in 2000. She was a past member of the Colonel Town Senior Citizens, the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, and was also a member of Mountain View Baptist Church.
Family members include a son Carl E. Simonds of Alton; two daughters, Rona A. Savage of Whitefield and Betty Lou Walker of Miami, FL; 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, 7 great great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by, her husband Bryden M. Simonds; two grandchildren, Carl Simonds Jr., Rogena Savage; brothers and sisters.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday March 28, from 7-9 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A funeral service will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 AM, at the Advent Christian Church, Whitefield. Reverend Bryce Whiting will officiate. Burial will at a later date in Park Street Cemetery, Whitefield.
