LANCASTER - Barbara A. Berry, 72, died suddenly Tuesday evening, July 3, 2012, at Country Village Genesis Eldercare Center where she has been a resident for 9 years.

Mrs. Berry was born in Lancaster on April 8, 1940, the daughter of Theodore Collins and Frances Collins Stevens.

She has been a Lancaster resident for most of her life and was a member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries.  Barbara loved to play cards and cook.  She will be remembered as a caring and giving person.

Family members include three sons, Harry E. Smith of North Haverhill, Jeffery Berry of Lancaster, Richard Berry of Laconia; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and a sister Rachel Gould of Punta Gorda, FL.  She was predeceased by her husband Hartley H. Berry; her parents; her stepfather Harold Stevens; and her brothers Edward, Clarence, Robert and Theodore.

Visiting hours will be held Thursday evening, July 5, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster.  A funeral service will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster.

Donations in lieu of flowers may be made in her memory to Toys for Tots, Lancaster VFW, % Rosalie Leonard, PO Box 147, Lancaster, NH 03584.
