LANCASTER- Beatrice "Bea" R. Lewis, 70, of Powder Hill Drive, died at her home, Friday morning June 23, 2006.
Beatrice was born in Lancaster on January 2, 1936, the daughter of Frank H. and Jean M. (Willson) Downing.
Bea spent most of her life in Lunenburg, she worked as a teachers aid at the Lunenburg Elementary, and as a Home Health Aid for Weeks Home Health, Lancaster. She has resided in Lancaster for the past 10 years.
She enjoyed reading, loved her cat "Tigger", and spending time with her family and friends.
Family members include her children; Deborah Thomas and her husband Edson of Lunenburg, Joan Lyon and her husband Roy of East Concord, VT, Crystal Lewis of Lancaster, Terry Mark Lewis of Bethlehem, and Karen Lewis of Lunenburg; two brothers; Malcolm F. Downing and Gary P. Downing both of Lunenburg; 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by, a daughter Cheryl Ann Lewis, and a great-grandson Brayden Tolf.
There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held Monday afternoon, June 26, at 4:00 PM at the Lunenburg Methodist Church, Reverend Henry E. Cheney, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery, South Lunenburg.
