LUNENBURG- Beatrice Sigouin, 91, of Pond Hill Road, died Tuesday morning, July 3, 2007, at Country Village Genesis Health Care Center, Lancaster.
Mrs. Sigouin was born on December 3, 1915, in Chartierville, Quebec, a daughter of John and Marie Ann (Bissonette) Dupont.
Beatrice was a homemaker, raising her children and working on the family farm. She enjoyed crafts, and entering them in the Lancaster Fair, where she won numerous blue ribbons. Her other interests included gardening, knitting, crocheting, and most recently beading. She was a loving, compassionate, and considerate mother and grandmother.
She was a Communicant of St. Leo's Church, Lunenburg.
Family members include a son Roland Sigouin of Lunenburg, three daughters Jeanne Girouard and her husband Rene of Whitefield, Pauline Bilodeau and her husband Leonard of Lunenburg, and Lorette Labbe and her husband Armand of Lunenburg; a brother Leonard Dupont of Jefferson; 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, 10 great great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Her husband Armand Sigouin, her daughter in-law Roseanne Sigouin, two brothers, Rosario Dupont and Gerard Dupont, predeceased her.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday afternoon and evening, July 5, from 2-6 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday morning at 11:00 AM, at St. Leo's Catholic Church, Lunenburg. Reverend Patrick Foreman, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Lunenburg.
A reception will be held immediately after burial, at the Lunenburg Community Hall.
