WHITEFIELD - Bessie R. Prince passed away Tuesday, Feb. 1, 2011, at the age of 94, at The Morrison in Whitefield, N.H. She was born in Beeville, Texas, on June 12, 1916, to Frank A. and Sallie M. Robie, who predeceased her.
She lived most of her life in Franklin and Salisbury, N.H., moving to the North Country in 1977. Her greatest joy was having been a farmer's wife and a homemaker. She had a great love for all children.
Bessie was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, and the United Methodist Women, in Whitefield, N.H. She was also a 50 plus-year member of the Ionic Ragged Mt. Chapter 20, Order of the Eastern Star in Franklin, NH.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald S. Prince, in 1977, two daughters, Lauretta (Prince) Locke, and Nancy Lee Prince; and a sister, Ruth Mary Robie. Survivors include her daughter, Betty Lou Fenmore of Whitefield; sister Deloice Lutz of Duncanville, Texas; granddaughter Sara Lee Locke of Ithaca, N.Y.; grandson Toby L. Locke of Andover, N.H.; two great-grandsons, Christopher and Charles Cloutier; and niece Sandra Flood.
There will be no calling hours. Remembrances may be made to The Morrison, 6 Terrace St., Whitefield, NH 03598. A graveside service will be held in the spring at the Franklin Cemetery, Franklin, NH.
