GROVETON - Bethanie A. LaBrecque, 83, longtime resident and hairdresser, died Wednesday, March 22, 2017, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster.
Bethanie was born in Groveton on August 15, 1933, the daughter of Elwood and Shirley (Foster) LaBrecque.
For many years she operated Bethanie's Beauty Salon in Groveton. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, crafts and dancing. In the more recent years she has been a resident of the McKee Inn in Lancaster.
She was a Communicant of St. Francis Xavier Church, Groveton.
Family members include her sister Lorraine Petersen Purcell of Indian Harbor Beach, FL; nieces Laura Petersen, Sharon Petersen, Cathy Butler; a nephew James Petersen; and 8 great-nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Saturday afternoon, March 25th, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 24th at 10:00 AM in St. Francis Xavier Church, Groveton. Reverend Danielle Deveau, pastor, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Francis Cemetery, Groveton.
