Betty Dow

GROVETON, NH Betty W. Dow, 70. Passed away Saturday night, December 27, 2025 at the Upper Connecticut Valley Hospital, Colebrook, NH.

Betty was born in Laconia, NH on March 16, 1955, the daughter of Walter and E. Ann (Buckley) Dow. Betty’s early years were growing up in Auburn, NH until the mid 1970’s when she moved with family to Meredith, NH. Subsequently, she moved to Lunenburg, VT until 2015 when she moved to Groveton, NH. From there, because of disabilities, she relocated to the Coos County Nursing Hospital in West Stewartstown, NH where she was provided with excellent care.

Betty enjoyed working in her flower gardens in Lunenburg and camping. She also enjoyed playing cards and a variety of games, making jigsaw puzzles, crocheting and cross stitching. She also liked spending time with family, especially time with her nephews.

Betty was predeceased by her parents, her brother Donald Dow and nephew Donald Dow, Jr. She leaves behind her sisters Sandra Hadley of Navarre, Florida and Deborah Derrick of Meredith, NH, and her brother Glendon Dow of Whitefield, NH and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind a very special friend and neighbor, Barbara Weagle of Groveton, NH.

There will be no services for Betty as she had requested.
