Beverly Ann (Dorr) Lowry, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and, friend left us on Thursday, July 21, 2011, at her beloved Maidstone Lake, surrounded by her family, following a two year battle with cancer.

She leaves her husband of 48 years, David Lowry, 6 daughters, Lori Adriano of Vero Beach FL, Robin Lowry-Merritt, Burlington, VT Wrendy Phinney, Modesto, CA Tana Lowry, Biloxi, MS, Kristi Lowry of Honolulu HI, and Paige Lowry and her husband Bob DiVenuti,of Essex, VT; and two sisters, Trudy Phelps of Goffstown, NH and Leatha Hopkins of Arizona. She was also close to her stepbrother, Bill McNeely of Maidstone, VT and stepsister Karen LaMontagne of Colebrook, NH.

She will be greatly missed by her 5 grandchildren, Joseph Merritt, Katherine Merritt, Alexandra Phinney, Martin DiVenuti, and John Adriano, as well as, many nieces and nephews across the country.

Beverly was born in Lancaster, to Helen McKaig and Richard Dorr, on March 19, 1936. She graduated from Lancaster Academy in 1954 and attended New Hampshire College. Her adventuresome nature took her far away from the North Country for many years but her heart always brought her home to her family and friends.

Beverly faced her battle with cancer the way she approached everything in life, with a positive attitude, genuine spirit and upbeat outlook. And even on a bad day, she never once complained or uttered a negative word. That is just the kind of person she was.

Her faith, love of friends, and devotion to family made her the truly special person we will all miss each and every day.

A mass will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Main St. Lancaster, NH on Friday July 29, at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would ask for donations to the Hospice team at the Visiting Nurses Association of Chittenden & Grand Isle Counties at www.vnacares.org .
