Beverly E. Phillips

LANCASTER - Beverly E. Phillips, 83, of Water Street, died Thursday afternoon, March 3, 2016 at Country Village Genesis Healthcare Center, Lancaster.
Mrs. Phillips was born in Lancaster on June 13, 1932 the daughter of Albert and Gladys (Palmer) Flynn. She has been a lifelong resident of Lancaster graduating from Lancaster Academy in 1950.
Through the years she worked at various area hotels and was employed 8 years with the Bock Company in Lancaster. For 13 years she was employed with the dietary department at Weeks Medical Center. She also cleaned for the SAU 36 offices. Beverly enjoyed crocheting and bird watching. She loved her cat and often cared for strays. Many will remember her as a frequent vendor at local flea markets.
She was a member of the Lancaster Historical Society and the AARP.
Surviving family members include her son Timothy A. Phillips of Lancaster; 3 nephews, Ken Phillips and Roger Phillips both of Lancaster and Kevin Brown of Vermont. She was predeceased by her husband Harry A. Phillips in 2009 and her sister Pearl Phillips in 2015.
At Beverly's request there are no visiting hours. A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 23rd at 11:00 AM in Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster. Reverend Donald Williams of Lancaster will officiate.
