LANCASTER - Billy Joe LaPan, died at home on the North Road, Wednesday, September 23rd, 2020. He was 47 years old.
Also known to family and friends as "BJ" or "Bill", he was born in Berlin, VT on January 9th, 1973 the son of William N. LaPan and Cheryl A. Menard.
For many years Bill worked for PAC 2000 in Lancaster and at one time was a teaching assistant for special needs children at White Mountains Regional High School. He was an avid gamer but also loved nature and the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, four wheeling, snowmobiling, camping, boating, and cruising in his jeep or on his motorcycle.
Surviving family members include his son Cody M. LaPan and wife Ashley of Groveton; his mother Cheryl Menard of Whitefield; his father William LaPan of Unity, NH; a brother Luke N. LaPan of Cache, OK; two sisters, Tammy A. Stinson of Groveton, Marion M. LaPan of Lancaster; 2 grandchildren; 9 nephews, 3 nieces and 1 great-nephew.
Bill's partner of 23 years was Cynthia Willey of Lancaster. Cynthia's daughter, Kate McMann, along with her husband Doug and 2 children were also a big part of his life in the time they spent together.
A celebration of life will be held Thursday October 1, 2020 from 1:00 PM -3:00 PM, at the home of Tammy and Ben Stinson, 62 Alice Drive, Northumberland, NH.
