HAVERHILL, MA - Brad Lionel Mattinson, 53, passed away peacefully in his sleep June 12, 2018 at his home in Lancaster, NH. Brad was suffering from multiple health conditions that contributed to his passing.
 
 
 Brad was born on December 21, 1964 in Haverhill, MA to Jeanne R. (Dufour) and William E. Mattinson. Brad attended the Haverhill School System, and high school in Scarborough, ME. He had several jobs throughout his life where he was a loyal, hard-working asset to his employers. Of his professions, the most notable were his time spent working for Haverhill Paperboard, Borden Chemicals and Plastics, Opportunity Works, Inc., and International Tape Company. Brad was proud of the work he did throughout his career, a true handy-man.
 
 
 Brad was married in 1988 to the late Christine Marie (Roberts) Mattinson of Merrimac, MA. Together they spent many years raising their daughters at their home in Danville, NH. Brad gave his children a solid foundation to learn some of the unique skills necessary in life. He also passed on his love for the great outdoors of New Hampshire. How to change a tire, general car repairs, how to fish, camping and boating were all times where Brad shared his knowledge and enthusiasm with his children. Most recently, you would find Brad riding his motorcycle with his beloved dog, Sweetie.
 
 
 Brad is survived by his children, Jenifer L. (Mattinson) Call of Merrimac, MA, Chelsea M. (Mattinson) Goodale and husband Matthew T. Goodale of Dracut, MA, Michael D. Mattinson and his fiancé Jessica L Grasso of North Andover, MA; sister Pamela A. (Mattinson) Hemenway and husband Dennis E. Hemenway Sr. of Ashland, KY; his wife's parents Leonard and Nancy (Biggart) Bachedler; sisters-in-law Suzanne Roberts and Roxanne Brown, brother-in-law Richard Roberts and wife Susan of Merrimac MA. Brad leaves behind one granddaughter, Arianna Christine Goodale of Dracut, MA. He will also be missed by his many nieces, nephews, friends, previous coworkers and fellow hobby enthusiasts. Brad is predeceased by his parents and brother, Scott W. Mattinson.
 
 
 Services: Brad's family will hold a private memorial Tuesday June 19, in the morning. Family and friends are invited to attend the "Celebration of Life" gathering in Danville, NH thereafter. Please inquire with his children for details.
