LUNENBURG - Brian K. Danforth, 46, of Pond Hill Road, died Wednesday, November 3, 2010, in Lunenburg.
Brian was born in St. Johnsbury, VT, on January 5, 1964, the son of Willis and Lorraine (Hale) Danforth.
He was a longtime area resident, raised in the Concord, VT, where he graduated from Concord High School. For a few years from 1993 to 1998 he resided with his family in North Carolina. For most of his life he was a truck driver and has been employed with Larry Brown and Sherwood Brown of Granby, Quest Transportation in St. Johnsbury, and Perras Lumber Company, Northumberland. He also worked for a time with Shawn Morse Landscaping, Lunenburg.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman and he enjoyed NASCAR racing. During his years in North Carolina he was a member of a local race car team. Memberships include VFW Horseshoe League and various hunting clubs.
Family members include two daughters, Megan M. Danforth and her fiancé Scott of Lunenburg, Miranda L. Danforth of Lunenburg; his mother Lorraine Danforth of Lyndon; the mother of his children and wife for 23 years Karen Danforth of Lunenburg; a brother Tracy A. Danforth and wife Darlene of Lancaster; a sister Alicia M. Burnham and husband Sunday of Walden; nieces and nephews Christopher Burnham, Jessica Burnham, Melissa Roscher, Sarah Kenison, and 5 great-nieces and nephews. His father Willis Danforth predeceased him.
Memorial visiting hours will be held Tuesday, November 9, from 4-6 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A memorial service will follow immediately after at 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Reverend John Somers, pastor of the Lunenburg Methodist Church will officiate.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations to defray funeral costs be sent to Bailey Funeral Home, 210 Main Street, Lancaster, NH 03584.
