LUNENBURG - Burton J. Burt, 57, of Johnny Cake Ave., died Wednesday morning, May 6th, 2020 at the Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon.
He was born at Weeks Hospital in Lancaster on April 27, 1963, the son of Harvey Henderson Sr. & Yvonne (Roy) Henderson. He lived in Lunenburg all his life. He was a jack of all trades, from auto body to carpentry, but his true passion was working on cars and helping anybody who needed help. He had a rocky life from a young age, spending some time incarcerated during which time he acquired his GED and was working hard to change his life around for the better.
He is predeceased by his father Harvey Henderson; his Mother Yvonne Henderson; a brother Allen Burt; sisters Cindy Valentine and Leona Crawford; the mother of his children Lisa Cook and daughter Amy Burt.
He is survived by his sons Charlie Burt of Lunenburg, and James Hollenback of Lunenburg; his daughters Kristin Hackney of Maine and Kerri-Ann Johnson of St. Johnsbury; brothers and sisters, David Burt and wife Callie of Florida, Donald Burt and wife Kim of Whitefield NH, Harvey Henderson Jr and wife Janice of Lunenburg, Gordon Burt and wife Tammy of Lunenburg, Dean Burt of Lunenburg, Jane Richardson and husband Jeffery of Lunenburg, Barbara Walker and husband Armond of Lunenburg; brother-in-laws Bob Valentine of Florida and Jimmy Crawford of Mass; all his beloved grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins; and his beloved long time friend Patti Ash of Littleton NH.
Due to COVID-19 Restrictions all services will be held at a later date at riverside Cemetery in Lunenburg, also a celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to NAMIVT.org mental health advocacy in Vermont or assisting the family with funeral expenses at www.baileyfh.net .
