LANCASTER - Carl E. Briggs, 81, of Ingerson Road, died at his home Tuesday, January 8th, 2019, after a period of failing health.
Mr. Briggs was born in East Bridgewater, MA, on December 15, 1937, the son of David E. and Marjorie T. (Benson) Briggs. He was raised in the East Bridgewater and Brockton, MA, and for 47 years was employed with Asplundh Tree Expert Company. He was their first employee in the Lancaster area and assisted with initial operations in the North Country. Carl will be remembered for his fishing excursions at Martin Meadow Pond on his pontoon boat.
Surviving family members include his children Thomas Briggs of Whitman, MA, Glenn Briggs of Jefferson, Brenda Churchill of East Bridgewater, MA, Donna Briggs of Bristol, NH and Debbie Briggs of West Bridgewater, MA.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
