Carlton Lee Merrow

JEFFERSON - Carlton Lee Merrow, 83, passed away Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster.
Carlie, as he was known by family and friends, was born in Lancaster, July 14, 1934, the son of Howard W. and Elsie Bryant Merrow. He attended schools in Lancaster and was a 1953 graduate of Lancaster Academy. Carlie was a hard worker and worked locally for many years. Later he stayed and helped with the family farm.
Later in life he will be most remembered sitting under an apple tree on his front lawn waving to people going by.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother; a sister Janice Rogers and husband Murray of Stark; a brother-in-law Ralph Page of Claremont, NH; and a nephew Michael Aldrich of Lancaster.
He leaves behind a brother Richard Merrow of Littleton; a sister Gail Page of Claremont; a brother John Merrow and wife Sherry of Jefferson and many nieces and nephews.
There are no calling hours. A burial in Summer Street Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family.
