Carol A. Smith Cormier, age 73, passed away peacefully at her home on July 11, 2024. Carol, a life-long resident of the North Country was born on January 5, 1951 to Herbert Francis and Shirley Mae (LaFrance) Smith. Carol enjoyed traveling, a nice meal with family and friends, and motorcycle riding with her husband and friends.
Carol treasured her family; her husband, Dale, son, Jeremy, daughters Amy(Jon), Carla (Dave) and Rose-Marie, sister, Donna Smith and her late brother, Leon Smith. She was so proud and excited to become a grandmother. Suzanna, Demetri, and their father, Mark, Elizabeth (Cam), Joshua and Kierstin brought her so much joy and pride. Carol was thrilled to further welcome a great-granddaughter, Aurora. Carol also had a treasured and faithful companion who was her shadow and comfort, her special fur baby, Katie.
Carol was a friend, a neighbor, a co-worker, a cousin, an aunt, a sister-in-law, a sister, a daughter, a wife, a mother-in-law, a mother, a grandmother, and a great-grandmother, and these roles meant the world to her.
Carol was friendly, quick to smile, always cooked for a crowd, loved fiercely, willing to lend a hand or listen to a friend, hear or share the latest gossip and will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
