NORTH HAVERHILL, NH--Carol F. Rines, 65, went home to live with our Lord on Thursday, April 19, 2012. She was a resident at the Grafton County Nursing Home where she passed away peacefully, surrounded by family. She exhibited a strong constitution and will to live, but succumbed to pneumonia.

Born on October 21, 1946, in Lancaster, NH, she grew up in Twin Mountain, NH, and attended Twin Mountain High School. In her teens, she looked forward to Dick Clark's "American Bandstand" show every Saturday afternoon and was very fond of Elvis. Carol was a very special individual who loved people and was always ready to lend a helping hand. She enjoyed going to church, as well as eating fried clams and drinking hot tea. Going out for ice cream was always a highlight in her life. Carol greeted friends and other acquaintances, with pen and paper in hand, to obtain their autographs. Carol will always be remembered for her good heart, great sense of humor and infectious smile.

Carol is survived by her sisters: Margaret (Peggy) Silver and husband John, of Jefferson, NH and Elaine LaLumiere and husband Rene, also of Jefferson, NH; brothers: Kevin Rines and wife Cindy of Gorham, NH and William (Bill) Rines and wife Sabrina of Twin Mountain, NH; step-mother, Ardeane Rines of Whitefield, NH; step-brothers: Jonas Glidden and wife Elaine of Epsom, NH; James Glidden and wife Kathy of Bethlehem, NH, and Jeffrey Glidden and companion Linda Foster of Richmond, VA: step-sisters Judy Gooden and husband Michael of Twin Mountain, NH; Joanne Sanseverino and husband Patrick of Candia, NH, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Carol was predeceased by her mother, Margaret Bragg Rines in 1962 and her father, Austin O. Rines in 1982.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 22, 2012, from 4-6 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home, 210 Main Street, Lancaster, NH.

The graveside service will take place on Monday, April 23, 2012, at 2:00 p.m., at the Forest Vale Cemetery in Jefferson, NH., with Rev. Ernest L. J. Gault of Crossville, TN officiating. A luncheon will follow at the Skywood Manor in Jefferson, NH.
