LANCASTER - Carolyn F. Gleason, 75, died Tuesday afternoon, May 3, 2022, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster, after a sudden illness.
Carolyn was born in Newport, Vermont, on September 7, 1946, the daughter of Andre and Frances (King) Giroux. She was raised in Newport and in her teens her family moved to North Stratford where she graduated from North Stratford High School. In the mid 60's she met, and later married, Willard P. Gleason. They lived throughout the state of New Hampshire where Willard worked on various dairy farms. They settled in Woodsville for a time before moving to Lancaster to care for Carolyn's father.
Carolyn enjoyed her life as a homemaker and loved making jewelry and crocheting. She especially enjoyed becoming a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving family members include her two daughters, Nina Hollstein and husband Karl of Newbury, VT, Sarah Verge and husband Dan of Holland, VT; 5 grandchildren, Danielle, Fantasia, Caleb, Emily, Jamie; and 9 great-grandchildren, Jarett, Jemma, Jaxton, Luna, Aubrey, Willow, Rhett, Levi, and Colton. Willard predeceased her in 2000.
Services will be held in the convenience of the family.
