LANCASTER- Carolyn L. Driscoll, 68, of Wolcott Street, died Thursday afternoon April 10, 2008, as a result of an automobile accident.

Mrs. Driscoll was born in Lancaster on December 5, 1939, a daughter of Arthur and Mary (Cote) Cassidy.

Carolyn was raised in Groveton and graduated from Groveton High School in 1957. After graduation she worked for James River Company retiring after 41 years, she then went on to work as a receptionist for Tri-County Cap in Whitefield. She lived for her family, enjoyed crossword puzzles and cooking.

She was a life member of the John W. Weeks V.F.W Post 3041, Ladies Auxiliary.

Family members include her husband Edward L. Driscoll of Lancaster, two daughters, Shannon Driscoll of Whitefield and Heidi Driscoll of Lancaster, two sons, Mark Driscoll and his wife Donna of Littleton, Edward J. "Moochy" Driscoll and his wife Penny of Dalton, eight grandchildren, Mark Driscoll of Beaumont, Texas, Luke Driscoll of Littleton, Josh Robinson of Dalton, Trudy Robinson of Charlotte, NC, Jennifer and Katie Miller of Littleton, Chelsea and Jessica Driscoll of Franconia, two sisters Lorna Cassidy of Nashua and Marilyn Parent of The Villages, FL and several cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by, a son Teddy Driscoll and a grand daughter Randi Ann Driscoll.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday evening April 13, from 6-8 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 11:00 AM at All Saints Church, Lancaster. Reverend Raymond Ball, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
