Catherine "Kay" S. Noyes

JEFFERSON, NH- Catherine "Kay" S. Noyes, 75, of Meadows Road, died Tuesday evening September 8, 2009, at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, Lebanon.
Mrs. Noyes was born in Whitefield, NH on August 31, 1934 a daughter of Stephen and Belle (Walker) Sheridan.
Kay was a lifetime resident of Jefferson and was a 1952 graduate of Lancaster Academy. For a time she worked at the Spaulding Inn in Whitefield and for over 25 years she was employed by the White Mountain Regional School District where she worked in the kitchen. In her spare time she made wedding cakes.
She was a member of the Jefferson Adult Citizens, the Jefferson Chorus and when her children were in school she was a member of the PTA.
Family members include her husband of 56 years Donald E. Noyes of Jefferson, a daughter Dawn Susan Miller and her husband Marc of Jefferson, two sons, Stephen Noyes of Jefferson and Tim Noyes and his wife Jill also of Jefferson, her grandson Adam Noyes of Jefferson two granddaughters, Shannon and Baillie Knecht of Lancaster and several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Robert Sheridan and Stephen Sheridan, four sisters Nellie Ingerson, Phyllis Smith, Bertha Hatfield and Isabelle Sharkey predeceased her.
Calling hours will be held Friday evening, September 11, from 6-8 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster, NH. A graveside service will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:00 PM in the Hillside Cemetery, Jefferson.
