LANCASTER - Charles A. "Charlie" Tibbetts, 51, of Summer Street, died Friday morning January 11, 2008 in Lancaster.
Mr. Tibbetts was born in Berlin, NH, on September 16, 1956, the son of Alfred and Gloria (Vashaw) Tibbetts. He was raised in Gorham and Milan and went on to serve in the US Army.
Charlie was a talented mechanic having worked as a diesel mechanic on heavy-duty construction vehicles and specialty equipment in Texas and southwestern United States. He also worked in Massachusetts for a time and at home in Lancaster he was employed by the Forbes Farm, River Valley Equipment and Dan's Service Center where he was presently employed.
He enjoyed playing pool, Texas Hold'em poker, and cribbage. He also liked fishing and socializing but his greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandson Koda.
A quote by a friend, "If you didn't love Charlie, you didn't know him".
Family members include his daughter Sabrina Meunier and her husband Josh of Groveton; his grandson Koda Meunier of Groveton; his loving companion Donna Gaudette of Groveton; his parents Alfred and Gloria Tibbetts of Milan; two brothers, Jimmy and Willey; three sisters, Lorna, Linda and Cathy.
Memorial visiting hours will be held Saturday afternoon, January 19, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster.
A gathering will immediately follow at the V.F.W, N. Main Street, Lancaster.
