LANCASTER - Charles W.V. Merrow of Lancaster passed away unexpectedly on May 30, 2020.

Charles was born January 12, 1977 in Lancaster the son of Charles J. and Lorraine Merrow. Charles attended White Mountain Regional High School. By trade he was an excellent carpenter working for several local construction agencies as well as being promoted to construction supervisor while working and living in Florida. Charles was an avid hiker and enjoyed the great outdoors having hiked most of the 4000 foot peaks in New Hampshire.

In the wintertime, Charlie enjoyed skiing and hockey he could often be found skiing Cannon or Bretton Woods. On one occasion, after skiing Cannon Mountain with his son Killian, on a frigid day with the wind howling, he remarked that it was one of the best days of his life. When he was not skiing he was skating at the local hockey rink. Charlie was always up for a game of hockey with some of his former classmates and during his school years. While participating in a regional tournament, Charlie was voted Most Valued Hockey Player by his team. Charlie was loved by his family and his quick wit and dry Yankee humor will forever be deeply missed by his friends, family and his dog Scrappy who loved him unconditionally.

Charles is survived by his son, Killian Merrow of Whitefield. Charles' daughter Camille predeceased him on May 20, 2020. Other relatives include his mother, Lorraine Merrow of Lancaster; his sisters Wendy Merrow of Lisbon, Becky Merrow of East Kingston, Holly Merrow of Lancaster; along with several nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass was held on June 13, 2020 at All Saints Church of the Gate of Heaven Parish. Interment followed at Kilkenny View Cemetery, Jefferson.
