Cheryl 'Cheri' Mire

January 11, 1945 — July 31, 2013

LANCASTER - Cheryl "Cheri" Mire, 68, died peacefully at her home at the McKee Inn in Lancaster surrounded by her family.

Cheri was born in Littleton on January 11, 1945 the daughter of Eudore "Eddie" and Glenna (Merritt) Pelletier.

In 1963 she graduated from Concord High School and was a longtime resident of Gilman.

For eight years she resided in Louisiana and while there she operated a gift shop.

She worked as a chef at the Gilman Senior Center, the Rabbit Hill Inn, Waterford, VT and at Riverglen in Littleton.

She was also a former activities director at the Morrison Nursing Home and Country Village Genesis Eldercare Center.

Family members include her two daughters and their families,

Brenda Fontaine and husband Trapper of Lancaster and children Chad, Spencer and wife Debbie, TJ and wife Tiesha, Savanah and husband Jeff, and grandchildren Bailey, Patricia, Peyton, Samantha, Logan, Haley, Seth and baby Spencer due this month; Anita Newell and husband Scott of Groveton and their children Krista, Arrin, Brent, Tristan, Kirsten and Jordan; three step-children, Tony Mire of Kaplan, Louisiana, Christine Hargrave of St. Johnsbury, Terry Mire of Kansas; two sisters, Judy Lynn Sterling of Merrimack, Kathy Lovell Noyes and husband Robert of Columbia, David Bruce Pelletier of Bethlehem; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her parents and a brother-in law Albert Sterling.

Memorial visiting hours will be held Tuesday evening August 6, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster.  A graveside committal service will be held Wednesday at 1:00 PM in Cushman Cemetery in Dalton.
