WHITEFIELD - Claire Margaret Wright, 70, of Old East Road, passed September 21, 2016, at Weeks Medical Center, Lancaster, after a long courageous battle with cancer.
Claire was born at home in Whitefield on Christmas day in 1945 the daughter of Leslie and Carlena (Holmes) Baker. She graduated from Whitefield High School and on August 1, 1964 she married the love of her life Elwin A. Wright Jr.
For her entire life she has been a dedicated homemaker. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed being a mother and a Nana. Her life revolved around loving and taking care of her grandchildren. She also enjoyed fishing, camping and family vacations.
Surviving family members include her husband Elwin of Whitefield; her three children, Tina Perreault and husband John of Maidstone, Stephen Wright and wife Tina of Whitefield, Trisha McCabe and husband Jonathan of Guildhall; six grandchildren, Cody and wife Addy, Mariah, Trevor, Megan, Forrest, Lily; two great-grandsons Cody Jr. and Jace; three sisters, Barbara Colborn, Eleanor Stevens, and Glen Marro; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a granddaughter Kelsey.
Memorial visiting hours will be held Friday evening September 23, 2016 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home in Lancaster. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Northwoods Home Health & Hospice, 278 Main Street, Lancaster, NH 03584.
