Clyde W. 'Bucky' Gonyer

LUNENBURG - Clyde W. "Bucky" Gonyer, 78, of Bobbin Mill Road, died at his home Saturday morning May 24, 2014 after a long illness.

Mr. Gonyer was born in Lancaster on May 1, 1936 the son of Wilfred Clyde and Verna (Newman) Gonyer.

For 38 years Bucky was employed at the Groveton paper mill.  He worked there as a foreman and later in the boiler room.  After retiring he worked several years at Santa's Village, Jefferson.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of fish and game clubs and the NRA.  For 6 years he served in the Army National Guard.

Family members include his wife Margaret (Lamotte) Gonyer of Lunenburg; his children, Paul McGoff and wife Kerry of Santa Clara, CA, James McGoff and wife Debra of Orford, NH, Theresa Taylor and husband Harold of Orford, NH, Chris Gulick and husband Kenneth of Ely, VT, Gloria Kenyon of Bradford, VT, Rita Kenyon and husband Mark of Lunenburg, Sylvia Ball and husband Brian of Lunenburg; 17 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Smith and her husband Edward of Lancaster, Mary Wheeler, of Weaver, Alabama, and several nieces and nephews.

There are no visiting hours.  A graveside service will be held Saturday afternoon, May 31, at 2:00 PM in the Calvary Cemetery, Lancaster.  Rev. Matthew Mason, Pastor of the Gate of Heaven Parish will officiate.
