MAIDSTONE, VT - Cory Allen Whitney, 33, died of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident Friday evening, April 24, 2020.
Cory was born in Lancaster on October 4, 1986, the son of Rockie Whitney and Tracey (Collins) Ayers. He attended White Mountain Regional High School and White Mountain Community College. For many years he worked at the Forbes Farm in Lancaster. He was recently employed with Riggs Distler as a rigger for the National Power Grid. In his spare time Cory enjoyed outdoor activities like four wheeling and fishing. Especially ice fishing with his children.
Cory is survived by his two sons Kamden Allen Whitney and Damon Joseph Whitney; his mother Tracey Ayers and stepfather Charlie Ayers of Daytona Beach, FL; his father Rockie Whitney and stepmother Susan Laura Gray of Addison, VT; a brother, Adam Michael Whitney of Daytona Beach, Fl; a sister Alicia Whitney of Addison, VT; his maternal grandparents Donald and Linda Collins of Northumberland; his paternal grandmother Jean Whitney of Lancaster; his good friend Ray Lovell of Maidstone; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his paternal grandfather, Ross Whitney.
Due to present restrictions a celebration of Cory's life will be held at a later date.
