LANCASTER - Cynthia J. Chilafoe, 82, formerly of Williams Street, died Monday morning May 12, 2008, at Country Village Genesis Eldercare where she has resided for the last six years.
Mrs. Chilafoe was born in Lancaster on February 14, 1926, the daughter of Frank and Fern (Willey) Brigham.
On May 18
th
, 1942 she married Frank Chilafoe and has resided in the Groveton and Lancaster area all of her life. Cynthia was an avid bowler, bingo player and loved her family.
She leaves behind two daughters, Eunice Levesque and husband Paul of Groveton, Bonnie Drew of Lancaster; two sons, Paul Chilafoe of Littleton, Thomas Chilafoe and wife Sherry of Littleton; a sister Daphne Pinkham and husband George of Whitefield; 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Mitchell; daughter Bev Bilodeau; son Eugene; great granddaughter Alycia; one brother, three sisters, and a son-in-law Fred Drew.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday evening May 15, 2008, from 7-9 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A funeral service will be held Friday afternoon at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Northumberland Cemetery.
