LANCASTER, NH- Daniel C. Scirocco, 74, died Wednesday evening, February 9, 2011, at Country Village Genesis Elder Care, Lancaster, after a long illness.
Mr. Scirocco was born on April 10, 1936 in Brockton, MA the son of Schirocco.
He was raised in Arlington, MA. He served with the United States Army and was a decorated Korean War Veteran. For a time he was a professional bull rider and for several years he worked as a Butler. He has been a resident of the North Country for 22 years.
Daniel had a lust for life and was very proud to have been a bull rider.
He was a member of the Jefferson Christian Church and the Rotary Club.
Family members include his five children, Lynn Weston of Dorchester, MA, Denise Scirocco of Shirley, MA, Nancy Cheney, Pamela Simms and Daniel Scirocco and his wife Jennifer all of Townsend, MA, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, and several other family members and friends. They will all dearly miss him.
A memorial service will be held Saturday afternoon, February 19, at 2:00 PM, at the Jefferson Christian Church. Rev. Dean A. Stiles, pastor, will officiate.
