JEFFERSON - David Allen Foster, 60, died on Friday, February 4, 2011, at his home in Jefferson surrounded by his loving family and friends.
He was born in Lancaster on January 12, 1951 the son of Maurice and Doris (Hartford) Foster.
David married his high school Sweetheart Jennifer Hicks and together they created a home in Jefferson where they raised their family. He enjoyed camping and was a regular at all the local fairs, especially fond of the horse pulling events. He loved farming, woodworking, the outdoors and most of all his family and home.
He leaves his wife of 40 years, Jennifer (Hicks) Foster; a son, Jason Foster and his loving partner Rebekah Dumont of Jefferson; two daughters, Heather Towle and husband John of Brownfield, ME, Jessica Foster Hebert and husband Timothy of Jefferson; he was "Bumpa" to Jaymi and Nick Foster, Karter and Lexi Deming, Laci, Lexi and Mandi Towle, and Emmi and Sophi Hebert. He also leaves his parents Maurice and Doris Foster of Antrim, New Hampshire; a brother, Craig Foster of Antrim, NH; three sisters, Judy Nortier of Sodus, NY, Diane Hadley of Williamson, NY, Karen Finch of Ontario, NY; and many nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, February 8, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Bailey Funeral Home, Lancaster. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday morning at 11:00 AM at All Saints Church, Lancaster.
Donations may be made in his memory to the Eastern Draft Horse Assn, C/O Kurt Towle President, 1 Pasture Lane, Brownfield ME.
