LANCASTER - David P. Lajoie - age 74, beloved husband of Roberta Lajoie, died Thursday, April 18, 2024, at home surrounded by his family after a sudden illness.
Born in Lancaster, NH on November 19, 1949. The son of Mary Shannon and Philippe L. Lajoie, raised in Stark, NH part of his life, lived in Burlington, VT, California and travelled extensively throughout his life.
He was an Honorably Discharged Vietnam Veteran and served with the 101st Airborne Division in the US Army. Earned the title of Taekwondo World Champion during his tour in Korea. A Lifetime member of the VFW, American Legion and NRA.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Bobbie of 26 years, three stepchildren, Stacey Gouveia and husband, Steven of Venice, Fl; Robin Sullivan and Tom Coulter of Davenport, Fl; Michael Sullivan and Karla Colby of Lunenburg, VT; Son, Robert Sheridan of New York City; brothers, Lennie Fournier, wife Melinda and son Philip of Palmdale, CA; Gregory Fournier, wife Jane and two sons, Jason and Kai of Hartford, VT; sister, Wendy McMann, husband Bryan and two sons, Scott and Dwayne of Stratford, NH; he was the brother of Lana, Starr, and Ginger all deceased; 5 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
There are no visiting hours. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 3, 2024, at 2:00pm at the Jefferson Christian Church in Jefferson, NH. Pastor, Dean Stiles will officiate. A graveside service with military honors will follow at Summer Street Cemetery in Lancaster, NH.
