OBITUARY NOTICE
DAYR K. TIERNEY
WHITEFIELD- Dayr K. Tierney, 61, of Lancaster Road, died Wednesday, August 15, 2007, at Littleton Regional Hospital, after a long illness.
Mrs. Tierney was born on December 22, 1945, in Quebec, Canada, a daughter of Nelson and Cora (Hooker) Ward.
Dayr attended elementary school in Colebrook and was a graduate of Berlin High School. After graduation she moved to Whitefield, where she has been a resident for over forty years. She was known for her years of service as a waitress at Grandma's Kitchen, and also a chambermaid at the Mountain View Hotel. She was known for her baking skills, they were above all others.
She is survived by, her husband, William "Mike" Tierney of Whitefield, a son Raymond Clement and his wife Rema of Lancaster, three daughters, Kim Baillargeon and her companion Steve Vashaw of Mt. Vernon, Maine, Keri Clement of Whitefield, and Kami Ferrel and her husband Jeff of Spring Hill, FL, and nine grandchildren. She was predeceased by, her first husband Raymond Clement and a brother Derek Ward.
Visiting hours will be private. A funeral service will be held Monday afternoon, August 20, 2007 at 1:00 PM at the Christ United Methodist Church, Lancaster. Reverend Dr. Thomas W. Bentum, pastor, will officiate. A luncheon will be held immediately after the service in the church hall. Burial will be at 3:00 PM in Forest Vale Cemetery, Jefferson.
