LANCASTER - Dean Gray, 81, of Garland Road, died Saturday morning, December 19, 2015 in Lancaster.
Mr. Gray was born in Lancaster on August 6, 1934 the son of Clifford "Joe" Gray and Phyllis (Smith) Gray. He has been a lifelong resident graduating from Lancaster High School.
Dean enjoyed attending the Lancaster Fair and sharing his knowledge with fellow fairgoers. He showed steers for many years and was very proud of his "family ox business" with his son George. He loved his Australian Shepherd Duke and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His wife of 55 years, Rita (Lee) Gray predeceased him in 2009.
Surviving family members include his son George Gray and wife Kathy of Lunenburg; his daughter Vicki Perkins and husband Arlo of St. Johnsbury; two grandchildren, Courtney (Gray) Skar and Ashley Gray; three great-grandchildren Madelyn, Leah and Ethan; two sisters, Jane Baker and Prudy Baker both of Lancaster.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday morning December 23, 2015 at 11:00 AM in Summer Street Cemetery, Lancaster. Reverend Richard Boyden, pastor of the Christ United Methodist Church, Lancaster, will officiate.
Donations may be made in his memory to the Lancaster Fair, 516 Main Street, Lancaster, NH 03584.
